2002 Dodge Stratus
Notable to 2002 Dodge Stratus is its sophisticated sleek and bold and sporty
designs for Sedan and Coupe, respectively. Equally extraordinary are its performance
and secure handling offered by an excellent powertrain and confident suspension.
For the first time, this year's V6 engine-equipped Stratus can be mated with a
five-speed manual transmission that could reach 60 mph in 7.5 seconds. It has
an acceleration that is adequate for most needs, proving 2002 Dodge Stratus' reliability.
The 2.4 L engines are an improvement over earlier engines.

Model lineup includes Stratus Coupe SE and R/T and Stratus Sedan SE, SE Plus
and ES. The sporty R/T Sedan is new to this year, joining that of Coupe. Like
R/T Coupe, it can be fitted with an AutoStick automatic transmission that permits
manual gear changes. Two new colors are available this year, Caffe Latte and Dark
Titanium Metallic. Each four-door model comes with standard air conditioning,
power door locks and power windows. The Stratus Sedan comes with An AM/FM stereo
with CD player, cruise control and dual power outside mirrors. For safety, it
features driver and passenger depowered air bags, child safety locks in the rear
and front and rear head restraints.
For extra protection, optional ABS brakes and side impact air bags are offered.
The Stratus Coupe features an AM/FM stereo radio with four-disc CD changer and
six speakers in the Touring package and a premium seven-speaker Infinity audio
system with AM/FM stereo and four-disc CD changer for the R/T. The 16.3 cubic
feet cargo area-trunk is considered best space in its class. Also new to 2002
Stratus Coupe are the standard 60/40 split folding seat for extra cargo and the
standard battery saver that automatically turns off interior lights after three
minutes if lights are left on when the ignition is off.
