The battery is the primary source of energy in your car, without it your engine
won't start. When the engine's running, it is now the alternator that supplies
the car's electrical needs. Most cars come with single battery but vehicles with
large audio systems and many electrical accessories may need a second battery.
Diesel-powered cars or trucks, buses with also contain multiple batteries. Batteries
can be mounted in many locations under the hood and even in places remote from
the engine compartment.
Dodge Stratus has carries one battery. It is located in the driver's front wheelwell
behind the corner of the front bumper, within the crumple zone. Dodge Stratus
also comes with engine block heaters that make it easier for the engine to start.
The battery blanket electronically warms the battery, thereby, extending its life
and preventing its loss of starting power caused by cold temperatures.
