The Stratus Coupe comes with a 2.4 L 4 cylinder SOHC 16V engine and 3L V6 engine (standard for R/T models).

The Sedan on the other hand can be mounted with a 2.4 L 4 cylinder DOHC 16V engine (on SXT models) or 2.7L V6 DOHC 24V engine (on S, ES and R/T models). The V6 engine is potent but quiet and its four-cylinder performs with much eagerness, giving you the satisfaction you just want. Dodge Stratus SE and SXT Sedan engines are matched with four-speed automatic transmission and unleashes 150-horsepower while the ES and R/T Sedans' V6 engine gives out a 200-hp. The base engine in a five-speed transmission gives out 147-hp. Models with four-speed automatic transmission give out 142 hp.
