There are different kinds and styles of mirrors offered in the market, each is designed for its own purpose. Dodge Stratus Sedan comes with standard power mirrors. The ES and R/T level trims are equipped with an auto-dimming rearview mirror. The Coupe on the other hand, features auto-dimming rearview mirror with integrated compass and temperature display on the R/T. All kinds of mirrors are used to eliminate blind spots.

They aid the driver in detecting forthcoming vehicles so as to prevent accidents. The rearview mirror offered by Dodge automatically shifts to "night mode" when it perceives bright light. This self-dimming mirror has photo-sensitive crystal optics that allows it to dim on bright days to reduce the glare and protect your eyes. Automatic dimming mirrors usually come from the factory but they can also be retrofit to a vehicle. Some include built-in compass and temperature read-out, such as the one available on some Dodge Stratus.
